Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the fell 0.50%.

The best performers of the session on the were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:), which rose 3.14% or 96.00 points to trade at 3,156.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Shikun & Binui (TASE:) added 3.13% or 46.00 points to end at 1,514.00 and Energix (TASE:) was up 2.60% or 39.00 points to 1,537.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:), which fell 3.49% or 194.00 points to trade at 5,366.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) declined 2.82% or 100.00 points to end at 3,440.00 and Nova (TASE:) was down 2.56% or 870.00 points to 33,180.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 242 to 239 and 42 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 5.94% or 5.76 to $91.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 5.42% or 5.58 to hit $97.35 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.76% or 13.25 to trade at $1,736.45 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.33% to 3.33, while EUR/ILS rose 0.56% to 3.33.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 108.73.
