Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the fell 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the were Maytronics (TASE:), which rose 3.83% or 219 points to trade at 5944 at the close. Meanwhile, Liveperson (TASE:) added 3.57% or 790 points to end at 22890 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:) was up 2.38% or 62 points to 2672 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:), which fell 9.16% or 389 points to trade at 3860 at the close. Nova (TASE:) declined 1.44% or 370 points to end at 25310 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:) was down 1.30% or 4.3 points to 327.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 255 to 179 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.38% or 62 to 2672.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.70% or 0.41 to $58.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.59% or 0.36 to hit $61.58 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 1.30 to trade at $1838.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.20% to 3.2546, while EUR/ILS rose 0.34% to 3.9493.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 90.330.
