Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 2.15% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 2.15% to hit a new 1-month low, while the index lost 3.30%, and the index fell 3.32%.

The best performers of the session on the were E.ON SE (ETR:), which rose 0.97% or 0.09 points to trade at 9.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:) added 0.07% or 0.04 points to end at 61.42 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) was down 0.21% or 0.07 points to 34.03 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:), which fell 13.26% or 3.92 points to trade at 25.64 at the close. Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 6.98% or 2.72 points to end at 36.26 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 6.03% or 1.64 points to 25.65.

The top performers on the MDAX were Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which rose 0.46% to 65.15, Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was up 0.05% to settle at 37.04 and Fraport AG (ETR:) which lost 0.16% to close at 50.94.

The worst performers were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) which was down 9.99% to 187.05 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which lost 6.37% to settle at 11.75 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 6.35% to 105.45 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were 11 AG (ETR:) which rose 1.04% to 19.47, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 0.20% to settle at 30.38 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which lost 0.73% to close at 21.61.

The worst performers were Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which was down 23.81% to 50.25 in late trade, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 9.27% to settle at 17.47 and Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 7.37% to 40.46 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 624 to 81 and 55 ended unchanged.

Shares in Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; down 13.26% or 3.92 to 25.64. Shares in Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.98% or 2.72 to 36.26. Shares in Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.03% or 1.64 to 25.65. Shares in Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.35% or 7.15 to 105.45. Shares in Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 9.27% or 1.78 to 17.47. Shares in Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 7.37% or 3.22 to 40.46.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 9.11% to 35.33 a new 1-month high.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.29% or 24.25 to $1,858.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 5.95% or 6.53 to hit $103.24 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 5.57% or 6.26 to trade at $106.13 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 103.70.
