Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 1.64% to hit a new 1-month low, while the index lost 2.07%, and the index lost 2.48%.

The best performers of the session on the were Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:), which rose 3.06% or 1.82 points to trade at 61.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:) added 1.77% or 1.08 points to end at 62.08 and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:) was up 1.32% or 1.03 points to 79.06 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:), which fell 6.36% or 6.95 points to trade at 102.40 at the close. Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) declined 4.61% or 1.43 points to end at 29.56 and Vonovia SE (ETR:) was down 4.54% or 1.63 points to 34.26.

The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 4.50% to 24.61, Duerr AG (ETR:) which was up 1.39% to settle at 24.86 and Lanxess AG (ETR:) which gained 1.36% to close at 35.82.

The worst performers were Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 17.41% to 21.77 in late trade, Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (ETR:) which lost 10.96% to settle at 9.46 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 7.46% to 65.26 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 4.50% to 24.61, Suse SA (ETR:) which was up 0.53% to settle at 30.46 and TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which gained 0.32% to close at 12.55.

The worst performers were Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 17.41% to 21.77 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 7.46% to settle at 65.26 and 11 AG (ETR:) which was down 4.60% to 19.27 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 533 to 158 and 73 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vonovia SE (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 4.54% or 1.63 to 34.26. Shares in Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 10.96% or 1.16 to 9.46. Shares in 11 AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.60% or 0.93 to 19.27.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.50% to 32.38.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.43% or 8.02 to $1,883.72 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.65% or 1.79 to hit $110.05 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.47% or 1.63 to trade at $112.53 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.39% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 103.52.
