Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 1.59% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index gained 1.11%, and the index gained 1.32%.

The best performers of the session on the were Zalando SE (ETR:), which rose 10.22% or 3.45 points to trade at 37.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) added 9.19% or 2.79 points to end at 33.15 and HelloFresh SE (ETR:) was up 6.21% or 2.04 points to 34.89 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:), which fell 1.42% or 0.60 points to trade at 41.70 at the close. Merck KGaA (ETR:) declined 0.60% or 1.05 points to end at 175.40 and Qiagen NV (ETR:) was down 0.49% or 0.21 points to 42.59.

The top performers on the MDAX were Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which rose 4.64% to 24.83, Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) which was up 3.43% to settle at 17.50 and CTS Eventim AG (ETR:) which gained 3.31% to close at 59.30.

The worst performers were Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which was down 3.57% to 4.27 in late trade, Evonik Industries AG (ETR:) which lost 3.21% to settle at 24.75 and K&S AG (ETR:) which was down 2.87% to 26.74 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.76% to 20.03, Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was up 4.64% to settle at 24.83 and Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 4.07% to close at 41.90.

The worst performers were Qiagen NV (ETR:) which was down 0.49% to 42.59 in late trade, Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which unchanged 0.07% to settle at 2.92 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was up 0.15% to 25.89 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 503 to 157 and 103 ended unchanged.

Shares in Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.57% or 0.16 to 4.27.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 7.06% to 23.43 a new 3-months low.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.10% or 1.92 to $1,848.22 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 3.54% or 3.91 to hit $114.24 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 2.83% or 3.14 to trade at $114.26 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 101.98.
