BERLIN (Reuters) – Deutsche Bank (DE:) will accelerate the closing of its Postbank branches and aims to have 550 branches by the end of 2023, 200 fewer than now, the Handelsblatt newspaper reported on Tuesday, citing a Deutsche Bank executive.
Philipp Gossow, who oversees the retail banking business in Germany, told Handelsblatt that Deutsche Bank had signed an agreement that allowed the earlier closing of 100 branches which otherwise would have shut in 2024 and 2025.
