Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the gained 1.04%.

The best performers of the session on the were Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:), which rose 10.00% or 1.98 points to trade at 21.78 at the close. Meanwhile, Nama Chemicals Co. (TADAWUL:) added 6.33% or 2.50 points to end at 42.00 and Arab National Bank (TADAWUL:) was up 5.83% or 1.95 points to 35.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Leejam Sports Company SJSC (TADAWUL:), which fell 3.79% or 4.40 points to trade at 111.80 at the close. United Electronics Company (TADAWUL:) declined 2.27% or 3.00 points to end at 129.00 and Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (TADAWUL:) was down 1.84% or 0.40 points to 21.30.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 165 to 62 and 9 ended unchanged.

Shares in Arab National Bank (TADAWUL:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 5.83% or 1.95 to 35.40. Shares in Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (TADAWUL:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.84% or 0.40 to 21.30.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.24% or 1.26 to $100.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.92% or 0.96 to hit $103.65 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.83% or 15.80 to trade at $1,888.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.92% to 3.95, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.75% at 103.08.
