Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the gained 0.49%.

The best performers of the session on the were Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:), which rose 9.95% or 0.81 points to trade at 8.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Naqi Water Co (TADAWUL:) added 9.92% or 6.50 points to end at 72.00 and Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (TADAWUL:) was up 8.82% or 1.50 points to 18.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (TADAWUL:), which fell 4.53% or 2.80 points to trade at 59.00 at the close. Raydan Co (TADAWUL:) declined 3.74% or 1.05 points to end at 27.05 and Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. (TADAWUL:) was down 3.47% or 0.87 points to 24.18.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 134 to 103 and 13 ended unchanged.

Shares in Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. (TADAWUL:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.47% or 0.87 to 24.18.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.31% or 2.01 to $84.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.77% or 1.66 to hit $92.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 4.95 to trade at $1,781.75 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.58% to 3.91, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.03% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 106.07.
