Investing.com – Morgan Stanley (NYSE:) reported on Friday third quarter that missed analysts’ forecasts and revenue that fell short of expectations.

Morgan Stanley announced earnings per share of $1.47 on revenue of $13.00. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.52 on revenue of $13.23B.

Morgan Stanley shares are down 19% from the beginning of the year, still down 27.71% from its 52 week high of $109.73 set on February 10.

Morgan Stanley shares gained 1.50% in pre-market trade following the report.

Morgan Stanley follows other major Financial sector earnings this month

Morgan Stanley’s report follows an earnings beat by JPMorgan on Friday, who reported EPS of $3.12 on revenue of $32.7B, compared to forecasts EPS of $2.92 on revenue of $32.11B.

Wells Fargo&Co had beat expectations on Friday with third quarter EPS of $1.3 on revenue of $19.51B, compared to forecast for EPS of $1.1 on revenue of $18.75B.
