Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 2.55%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the fell 2.55% to hit a new 6-months low.

The best performers of the session on the were Strauss Group (TASE:), which rose 0.10% or 8.00 points to trade at 8,192.00 at the close. Meanwhile, OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 3,372.00 and Nice Ltd (TASE:) was down 0.12% or 80.00 points to 65,770.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Maytronics (TASE:), which fell 11.54% or 651.00 points to trade at 4,991.00 at the close. Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:) declined 5.93% or 411.00 points to end at 6,519.00 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:) was down 4.65% or 39.20 points to 804.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 404 to 93 and 25 ended unchanged.

Shares in Maytronics (TASE:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 11.54% or 651.00 to 4,991.00. Shares in Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.93% or 411.00 to 6,519.00.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.14% or 0.16 to $115.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.35% or 0.42 to hit $118.09 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.75% or 31.80 to trade at $1,851.40 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.51% to 3.45, while EUR/ILS rose 1.61% to 3.65.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.36% at 103.51.
