Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 0.33%, while the index declined 0.46%, and the index declined 0.22%.

The best performers of the session on the were Siemens AG Class N (DE:), which rose 6.39% or 7.93 points to trade at 132.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (DE:) added 1.63% or 2.65 points to end at 164.87 and Delivery Hero AG (DE:) was up 0.85% or 1.15 points to 137.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Adidas AG (DE:), which fell 2.71% or 7.75 points to trade at 278.45 at the close. Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) declined 2.65% or 0.243 points to end at 8.917 and Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE:) was down 2.58% or 1.710 points to 64.670.

The top performers on the MDAX were Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (DE:) which rose 4.00% to 14.3100, Siltronic AG (DE:) which was up 3.82% to settle at 145.350 and HelloFresh SE (DE:) which gained 3.77% to close at 68.80.

The worst performers were Aareal Bank AG (DE:) which was down 4.34% to 20.260 in late trade, Hochtief AG (DE:) which lost 3.75% to settle at 82.15 and Puma SE (DE:) which was down 3.55% to 84.58 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Siltronic AG (DE:) which rose 3.82% to 145.350, Draegerwerk VZO O.N. (DE:) which was up 3.04% to settle at 71.100 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.67% to close at 384.600.

The worst performers were S&T AG (DE:) which was down 4.88% to 20.66 in late trade, Bechtle AG (DE:) which lost 3.14% to settle at 175.700 and Drillisch AG (DE:) which was down 2.74% to 20.270 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 468 to 214 and 25 ended unchanged.

Shares in Siemens AG Class N (DE:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 6.39% or 7.93 to 132.03. Shares in Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.00% or 0.5500 to 14.3100. Shares in Siltronic AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.82% or 5.350 to 145.350. Shares in HelloFresh SE (DE:) rose to all time highs; up 3.77% or 2.50 to 68.80. Shares in Siltronic AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.82% or 5.350 to 145.350.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 6.35% to 22.93.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.64% or 12.00 to $1853.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.02% or 0.54 to hit $52.59 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.91% or 0.51 to trade at $55.59 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.2178, while EUR/GBP rose 0.57% to 0.8905.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 90.162.
