Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.85%, while the index gained 0.56%, and the index climbed 0.28%.

The best performers of the session on the were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:), which rose 3.85% or 1.358 points to trade at 36.633 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) added 3.70% or 0.340 points to end at 9.540 and Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE:) was up 2.60% or 1.660 points to 65.540 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Beiersdorf AG O.N. (DE:), which fell 1.44% or 1.250 points to trade at 85.490 at the close. Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (DE:) declined 0.95% or 0.570 points to end at 59.350 and SAP SE (DE:) was down 0.95% or 1.010 points to 105.040.

The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (DE:) which rose 7.68% to 17.942, K&S AG (DE:) which was up 5.58% to settle at 8.848 and Fraport AG (DE:) which gained 4.03% to close at 45.485.

The worst performers were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) which was down 3.42% to 469.200 in late trade, Varta AG (DE:) which lost 3.43% to settle at 129.500 and Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 2.26% to 34.580 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (DE:) which rose 7.68% to 17.942, Drillisch AG (DE:) which was up 4.07% to settle at 24.310 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) which gained 3.85% to close at 36.633.

The worst performers were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) which was down 3.42% to 469.200 in late trade, Varta AG (DE:) which lost 3.43% to settle at 129.500 and Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 2.26% to 34.580 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 409 to 269 and 22 ended unchanged.

Shares in Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) rose to all time highs; up 3.85% or 1.358 to 36.633. Shares in Aixtron SE (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; up 7.68% or 1.279 to 17.942. Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.53% or 9.35 to $1784.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.31% or 0.79 to hit $59.73 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.77% or 0.49 to trade at $63.44 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.2130, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8656.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 90.290.
