Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.62%, while the index added 0.87%, and the index gained 0.27%.

The best performers of the session on the were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:), which rose 2.76% or 5.15 points to trade at 191.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Vonovia SE (ETR:) added 2.28% or 0.89 points to end at 39.93 and Puma SE (ETR:) was up 2.00% or 1.48 points to 75.36 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:), which fell 4.48% or 1.69 points to trade at 36.05 at the close. Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) declined 1.47% or 2.22 points to end at 148.98 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.39% or 5.40 points to 382.10.

The top performers on the MDAX were K&S AG (ETR:) which rose 4.03% to 35.36, Sixt SE (ETR:) which was up 4.03% to settle at 126.60 and Fraport AG (ETR:) which gained 3.10% to close at 52.58.

The worst performers were Hypoport AG (ETR:) which was down 0.78% to 354.00 in late trade, Uniper SE (ETR:) which lost 0.77% to settle at 23.32 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 0.73% to 129.00 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which rose 3.16% to 83.25, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.88% to settle at 25.40 and Suse SA (ETR:) which gained 2.86% to close at 29.54.

The worst performers were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.39% to 382.10 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which lost 1.36% to settle at 15.97 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 0.94% to 24.13 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 437 to 234 and 97 ended unchanged.

Shares in Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.48% or 1.69 to 36.05. Shares in K&S AG (ETR:) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.03% or 1.37 to 35.36.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 8.34% to 25.17 a new 1-month low.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.54% or 10.70 to $1,974.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.47% or 1.53 to hit $105.78 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.58% or 1.72 to trade at $110.50 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 100.44.
