© Reuters. France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.68% – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the fell 0.68%, while the index declined 0.71%.

The best performers of the session on the were Sanofi SA (PA:), which rose 1.01% or 0.87 points to trade at 87.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Capgemini SE (PA:) added 0.80% or 0.90 points to end at 112.85 and Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (PA:) was up 0.21% or 0.07 points to 34.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:), which fell 5.02% or 2.05 points to trade at 38.76 at the close. Airbus Group SE (PA:) declined 3.09% or 2.21 points to end at 69.23 and Veolia Environnement VE SA (PA:) was down 2.91% or 0.57 points to 19.18.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eurofins Scientific SE (PA:) which rose 3.02% to 688.00, Wendel (PA:) which was up 1.41% to settle at 86.20 and Soitec SA (PA:) which gained 1.20% to close at 109.60.

The worst performers were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:) which was down 5.02% to 38.76 in late trade, Elis Services SA (PA:) which lost 4.46% to settle at 10.72 and Vallourec (PA:) which was down 3.44% to 28.600 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 345 to 191 and 110 ended unchanged.

Shares in WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.02% or 2.05 to 38.76. Shares in Eurofins Scientific SE (PA:) rose to all time highs; up 3.02% or 20.20 to 688.00. Shares in WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 5.02% or 2.05 to 38.76.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 0.51% to 23.14.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.84% or 16.70 to $2015.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.30% or 0.13 to hit $42.76 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $45.37 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.55% to 1.1934, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.9018.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 92.305.
