Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the added 3.23%, while the index added 3.09%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sanofi SA (EPA:), which rose 5.02% or 4.81 points to trade at 100.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:) added 4.81% or 8.25 points to end at 179.90 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:) was up 4.36% or 1.53 points to 36.63 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renault SA (EPA:), which fell 2.08% or 0.52 points to trade at 24.71 at the close. Engie SA (EPA:) declined 0.84% or 0.10 points to end at 11.35 and Vivendi SA (EPA:) was up 0.40% or 0.04 points to 10.06.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:) which rose 7.09% to 305.30, Orpea SA (EPA:) which was up 5.14% to settle at 23.72 and Amundi SA (EPA:) which gained 5.14% to close at 52.15.
The worst performers were Valneva (EPA:) which was down 11.13% to 12.65 in late trade, Valeo SA (EPA:) which lost 3.54% to settle at 18.81 and Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which was down 2.26% to 3.77 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 353 to 156 and 122 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.08% or 1.55 to $1,828.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 2.54% or 2.65 to hit $106.92 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 2.23% or 2.45 to trade at $112.50 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 103.96.
