Investing.com – AMD reported on Tuesday fourth quarter that beat analysts’ forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.
AMD announced earnings per share of $0.52 on revenue of $3.24B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $0.4704 on revenue of $3.02B.
AMD shares are up 3% from the beginning of the year, still down 4.54% from its 52 week high of $99.21 set on January 11. They are under-performing the Nasdaq which is up 5.72% from the start of the year.
AMD shares gained 2.21% in after-hours trade following the report.

AMD’s report follows an earnings beat by Microsoft on Tuesday, who reported EPS of $2.03 on revenue of $43.08B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.64 on revenue of $40.23B.
Taiwan Semiconductor had beat expectations on January 14 with fourth quarter EPS of $0.9851 on revenue of $12.93B, compared to forecast for EPS of $0.9362 on revenue of $12.85B.
